Ik ben met 867 stemmen ‘Voting Winner’ in de categorie ‘The Brightest Journey’ en met 1003 stemmen sta ik bij de beste 5 in de categorie ‘Expert Opinion’. Super veel dank voor jouw stem 🙏! Maar…wat betekent dat allemaal? Hoe verloopt het juryproces verder?

Wine Travel Awards

Er zijn zes categorieën:

1. Wine Guide
2. The Visiting Card of the Country
3. Education in Enotourism
4. Enogastronomic Events
5. Ambassador
6. Wine & Food Influencer

Deze categorieën zijn weer onderverdeeld in verschillende sub-categorieën. In de laatste categorie, bestemd voor journalisten, professionele media, bloggers, fotografen en videomakers, ben ik genomineerd in de sub-categorieën ‘Expert Opinion‘ en ‘The Brightest Journey‘. In twee categorieën! Hoe cool is dat!

Expert Opinion

Authors whose publications demonstrate in-depth knowledge of enogastronomy and/or the specificities of the region can be nominated in this category. The publications must have outstanding publicity and disseminate competent opinion and reliable information about the destinations, places, wines and other products of the region in terms of tourist attraction.

Brightest Journey

Authors whose work includes a reportage (video, article) from an enogastronomic excursion or a reportage of a trip to an interesting region, a specific wine trail site, etc.

Het Jureren

In de eerste ronde bepalen publieke stemmen wie er doorgaan naar de volgende ronde: meeste stemmen gelden. De vijf hoogst geëindigden in elke categorie gaan door naar de professionele juryronde, waar hun profielen worden beoordeeld door twaalf toonaangevende experts in de wijnbouw, gastronomisch toerisme, marketing en journalistiek. De beoordeling volgt een 10-puntensysteem in overeenstemming met de officiële Wine Travel Awards (WTA)-protocollen.

Bekendmaking WTA Winnaars

De WTA-winnaars worden bekendgemaakt tijdens de WTA-ceremonie, de grote finale van het evenement, die plaatsvindt tijdens de London Wine Fair op 20 mei 2025, van 10.30 tot 12.30 uur.

De Wine Travel Awards-ceremonie belicht de resultaten van de campagne van 2024-2025, waarbij de winnaars van zowel de publieksstemming als de selectie door een professionele jury worden beoordeeld en nieuwe en succesvolle namen in de wijntoerismebranche worden onthuld.

Het programma van twee uur omvat een bekendmaking van de winnaars en WTA-ontdekkingen en een proeverij van wijnen door leden van de WTA-gemeenschap.
