Turkish Wine Challenge
Turkish Wine Challenge® – (TWC), Turkiye’s first and only wine competition with international standards, took place on 22nd May 2025 in London, UK. The fifth edition of TWC was successfully delivered by an expert jury of 9 members hailing from the UK, USA, Hong Kong, Czechia, Turkiye, Germany, Slovakia and Cyprus.
Turkish and Italian wines won most of the awards in this year’s competition. This was the first year that North Cyprus participated. The medal achievements were determined by blind tasting, which was carried out only with the knowledge of the residual sugar and the vintage.
This year, 12 Grand Gold, 28 Gold and 15 Silver medals were awarded. Turkiye was awarded with 23 medals, Italy with 16 medals and Czechia with 14 medals, being the top three countries in the medal ranking.

Jury member Patricia Stefanowicz Master of Wine said “The quality of wine entries at the Turkish Wine Challenge gets better every year with some of the outstanding wines presented in our panel. With an international panel of judges, the Turkish Wine Challenge includes both men and women for balanced judging, and keeps the female-to-male ratio at 70% each year, reflecting how the growth and influence of women in wine has expanded in recent years. This is a competition not to be missed, and we are looking forward to the next edition in 2026.”
