💃 This old lady was very lively

👩‍💻 As you can see the colour is amber. On the nose and palate dried raisins, dried apricot, hazelnuts, walnuts, coffee, caramel.
Spicy, creamy mouthfeel though very fresh. Long, fresh finish with all aspects mentioned before.

🤩 Me happy. Also with my @coravin so I can enjoy a glass now and then.

🤩 One of the wines served during the announceme

🤩 One of the wines served during the announcement of the 2nd nomination for Wine Woman of the Year (check the link in bio!) was this beauty.

🏡 'La Masía' means 'The Farmhouse' in Catalonia, the home region of founder and owner of Marimar Estate, Marimar Torres, and the winery is designed to resemble a classic Catalan farmhouse.

🍇 Familia Torres has grown grapes in Spain since the 17th century and their philosophy has always been to produce a wine as an extension of farming the vineyard.

🍷🍴 The team of The Grand paired this wine with the starter: Paté en croûte - Onion chutney - Gherkin - Redcurrant reduction (swipe for the 📸) and it was amazing!

🍷 About the wine... the grapes are grown in the sustainable Don Miguel vineyard, located in the Green Valley - the coolest, foggiest region of the Californian Russian River.
Fermentation in stainless steel, aged French oak barrels, 36% new. Alc. 13.5%.
🌺 Floral notes (violets, roses, rosemary) combined with 🍓 red fruit (raspberry, strawberry). Round, velvety tannins, long finish. Lovely wine!
