At this year’s Spring Tasting, thousands of wines from all over the world were once again tasted and evaluated by the international Mundus Vini jury. The quality of the submitted wines was outstanding in 2025 as well.

The award-winning wines come from a total of 37 different countries, including up-and-coming origins such as Poland and The Netherlands.

Almost 250 wine experts from 55 countries came to the six-day tasting in the traditional Saalbau in Neustadt/Weinstraße in the heart of Germany’s second-largest wine-growing region, the Palatinate.

The most successful origins are Italy (930 awards), Spain (754), Portugal (359), France (303) and Germany with 223 awards. This was followed very successfully this year by Moldova with 3 Grand Gold, 96 Gold and 66 Silver medals.

Romania received 95 medals with 1 Grand Gold, 53 Gold and 41 Silver. (red.)

“This year’s spring tasting once again set new standards in terms of the quality of the wines tasted. Both the very fresh wines from the new 2024 vintage and the red and white wines from older vintages really impressed our international jury of experts.

The “Best of Show” certificates will personally be presented to the top winemakers in attendance at the Prowein Fair mid March by the MUNDUS VINI board.
